Types of Billing
Private health
We accept all participating health insurers, and can claim on the spot.
Private paying patients are also welcome
Medicare
Through a Chronic disease management plan, patients can be referred by their GP to a podiatrist. These referrals “unlock” medicare funding for podiatry treatment.
Please note referrals are generated at a Doctor’s discretion. Eligibility typically involves medical conditions that are present, or are likely to be present for 6 months or longer.
Referrals are valid for 18 months, however under Medicare patients are restricted to 5 visits in a calendar year. This includes visits to other allied health professions.
Once the medicare funding has been exhausted, patients can continue with private funding.
DVA and NDIS
We are proud to accept Gold and White card DVA members. Are new referral is required every 12 months.
Valentine Podiatry is also able to see self-managed or plan-managed NDIS participants. Please note we are not directly NDIS registered.
